Continuing our tradition from last year, Kathryn Lafond, Earth Based Sufi led a worship service where all the faiths contributed to an alter and the theme of God’s Loving Kindness. The alter was constructed in the center of the sanctuary of Kol Shalom. As part of the contribution, each person shared why their gift to the alter was significant. The altar’s construction included the four directions and emphasized the many paths to draw closer to God. As the hour passed by, with everyone sharing scarred words, readings, poems and stories the spirit was felt; We all left that evening with an up lifted spirit and an increased appreciation for our fellow IFC members and the spirit they bring with them.
