Our next general meeting

Please join us on October 2nd; at Bethany Lutheran, 7986 Finch Road NE, Bainbridge Island WA.   We can arrange carpools for those who need a ride.  The meeting will start at 6:30 and end at 8:00 pm.

 

Climate Circle Meeting: BINK-IFC climate circle meets every second Wednesday of the month 5:00-6:30 pm at Grow Community Center.

Sept. 22nd-28th, Everybody Eats Week, CROP/walk/dance, see details below, volunteer and donate! IFC has had involvement in Church World Services hunger fundraiser for 20 years.

Sept. 27th, 2025, HIKE for Hunger, 9:am, location: Mandas-Olson Parking at Grand Forest. Organized by Spiritual Ecologist and Climate Circle member – Jennifer Wilhoit. Bring Donations of Cash or Non-perishable food. Hike is done in silence. All are welcome.

Sept. 29th, 2025 6:30pm at St. Barnabas, Web of Life gathering, focused on Reverence for Fire, as IFC-Climate Circle continues to explore the elements in relation to climate change. (see attachment) for more information: climatecirclebinkifc@gmail.com. All are welcome.

Oct. 18th, 3:pm Bainbridge Library, Trans and the Times, Questions and Discussions. Contact eve.palay@gmail.com. Come to show your support and to learn what families are needing.

Oct. 24th – 10:am-4:30, Suquamish UCC hosts The Wisdom of St. Francis offered by Scottish Interfaith Rev. Simon Ruth de Voil. St Francis lived in polarized times as well yet maintained his rooted spirituality with generosity and compassion.  To Register and learn more ($100)-  https://suquamishucc.org/donations/

Oct. 25th, Queer Bingo at BISC, 5:pm. Pride Foundation hosts this fundraiser for Bill McKnight scholarship. Sells out every year!

*BINK-IFC MISSION STATEMENT revision: We have handed out our rewritten mission statement designed to reflect what we actually do as Interfaith participants. We are asking for your comments and to bring it back for discussion in our October IFC meeting. We also ask that you show it to your Faith leads and sign it if you are comfortable with it. We are attaching the copy and you are welcome to compare it to the old statement currently on our website: www.binkinterfaith.org.

We encourage use of the IFC website: www.binkinterfaith.org and ask you to link it in your church bulletins and or monthly newsletters. Co-Chair, John Hunt, accepts your faith news announcements and places them in the events on the website as often as possible. This keeps us working collaboratively. John is also working on investigating Non-Profit status for us as the bank is now requesting this. He will keep us informed of progress.

Announcing our special program focus for coming months: Oct./IFC Climate Circle will present, Nov./Eve Palay will present for Rainbow Northwest/Trans day of Remembrance, Dec. Co-Chair Kathryn Lafond will create with you an All-Faith Mandala.

Doloros from Suquamish UCC announced the formation of a new ‘Wild Church,’ and is looking for someone to partner with.
